ARTSVILLE IS AN ANNUAL ART FESTIVAL THAT MADE ITS DEBUT IN 2021. THE FESTIVAL FEATURES A VARIETY OF ARTISTS CREATING LIVE FOR ALL THE COMMUNITY TO SEE. FROM 3D CHALK ART TO MURAL AND SCULPTURE ART THE SKIES THE LIMIT. THROUGHOUT THE FESTIVAL FAMILIES CAN COME AND ENJOY THE LIVE ART, PARTICIPATE IN SEVERAL COMMUNITY ART PROJECTS, SHOP ARTISAN VENDORS, DISCOVER LOCAL BUSINESSES, EAT FROM SOME OF THE YUMMY FOOD TRUCKS AND OF COURSE CHALK IT UP IN THE CHALK CONTEST.
Get ready for Artsville 2024, a week-long celebration of creativity from October 1-5! What began as the Chalk Walk in 2017 has evolved into Artsville Fest, featuring large-scale live art creations, from 3D chalk art to murals and community art projects.
Embark on the artistic journey with our opening event, Artsville Live!, on October 1 at the prestigious Emerald. This spectacular night includes a film showcase, fashion down the runway, and captivating performances – our very own version of America's talent in its purest form. Be part of the excitement as the crowd chooses the winners, with three scholarships up for grabs.
On Day 2, transport yourself to the glamour of the 1920s at the Art Gala on October 3 held at the Sanctuary on Main. Art works displayed are a wide range of local creative visual artists in our community eager for your votes in hopes of winning a scholarship. Dress for the theme, explore the art gallery, and vote for your favorite artwork to contribute to scholarships for the winners
Last but certainly not least is the highly anticipated Art Gala! We will transform the already beautiful Sanctuary On Main into a Speakeasy themed art gallery displaying tons of local art work from our entire community. We will have artists from elementary age to professional featured in this gallery and all eager for your votes as we will be giving away prizes and a big fan favorite scholarship as well.
Last but of course not least is the Full Festival Day! This day will feature our annual chalk walk where you can register for a chalk square and chalk it up around the downtown commons. Join the fun yourself or a group and your chalk drawing will win some of the many prizes. Walk around the festival which starts at Sanctuary on Main, goes to The Downtown Commons, engolfs all of the strawberry alley and our spacious city hall and public square. Throughout the grounds you will discover over 9 community art projects you can participate in and enjoy, many food vendors, artisan vendors and performers from music to dance ready to surely entertain you from your eyeballs to your belly. Don't forget all the large scale featured art that will also be made live! You can watch as the artists create from beginning to end. All work will be finished by the afternoon so you can enjoy snapping pictures of everything. The festival wraps up at 6pm with all our winners announced on stage and one final performance to send you home inspired till next year when we do it all again with more and more unique elements as each year always gets better!
